Creativity hates boundaries but it sure needs guidance. During our workshops we discuss what’s important to us, what values go together with our outlook on life and what helps us get the job done day in and day out. Five global Salling Group values represent who we are and what we want to achieve. Here they are:
Prepare yourself to participate in Salling Group’s recruitment process and find answers to frequently asked questions. By the way, there’s nothing to worry about. We would like your participation in our recruitment process to be a great experience for you and a valuable source of information about you and your potential for us.
1. Applying for a job
The “Job Offers” section is where you should go to check out our current vacancies. When you’ve decided to apply, just click the “Apply” button to be redirected to our super secure system where you’ll be asked to sign up in order to complete the application process. The sign up process might take a couple of minutes, but at least you’ll be sure that your application has reached our HR department. At the end of the application process you’ll receive an email confirmation. From then on you’ll be in our contact book which makes reaching out to you that much easier.
2. Processing your application
So your CV and personal data have safely reached our database. We’ll now start processing your application and organizing your recruitment path.
3. Phone interview
If your application is selected by our team, Marta or Natalia will contact you by phone so we get to know one another and possibly fill any information gaps and make both parties’ expectations clear. You’ll also agree a timeline for the next recruitment steps.
4. Online tests
Every candidate invited to the next recruitment step will be asked to take two online tests – a personality test and analytical skills/logical reasoning test. They help us make informed decisions about offering a job to a potential candidate.
5. A cup of coffee at the Baltic Business Park
We’ll invite you for a face to face meeting and give you a chance to check out our office and meet a couple of people. The meeting will be hosted by a member of the HR team and your potential leader (you can view our leaders on the Leaders tab). Over excellent coffee you’ll get to know each other and discuss the new role.
6. The decision
After meeting the candidate in person we know pretty much everything but we like the suspense. Seriously though, once we’ve met all candidates we do not keep them waiting too long. If you like our offer, we’ll get started on the welcome pack. Welcome to Salling Group!
People frequently ask…
1. Should I apply even though I don’t meet all your expectations?
If you’re doubting our own skills, such as your fluency level in a foreign language, we’ll be the judges of that. Just apply through our system and wait for us to get in touch via phone or email.
2. How should I prepare for the interview?
You can start by learning as much as you can about our company. We suggest visiting ssc.sallinggroup.com or checking out our LinkedIn and Instagram profiles. Think about what it is about our job offer that gets you buzzing and why you would choose us over other companies. Don’t be shy to point out your strengths, because self-confidence is something you can use to your advantage in such situations.
3. How should I dress for the interview?
Wear something that will make you feel comfortable and confident. We’re no suit & tie people. We keep it smart casual.
4. When can I expect a reply from you?
Two weeks from the date of your interview, tops. That’s our own deadline, but we’ve had cases where decisions were made the day after the interview. Regardless of our decision we’ll get in touch, and provide feedback.
It’s simple:)
